2 Party System - Good for Voters
------------------------------------
Quoting Raja Petra....
"No, our mission should not be to see the destruction of Barisan Nasional. Our mission should be to see the strengthening of Pakatan Rakyat and the emergence of a two-party system in Malaysia. Let these two parties be matching in strength. We do not want to remove one dictator just to replace it with another. We want to see two equally capable parties so that we can rotate the government between one and the other every two terms or so."
"Competition is good. Two equally strong and equally capable parties will fight for our attention and for our votes. That can only work in our favour. And that can only be achieved when Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat are neck to neck and head to head. Then we can try one party for two or three terms and then give the other party the government for two or three terms. When that happens the people will really be the boss and the government our slave."
Sufiah Yusof - Power Quotes
----------------------
“I have studied so intensely for so many years, I wanted to have some fun,” said Sufiah, whose Pakistani father Farooq Yusof forced her to study day and night.
“As I grew older, I began to clash with my father. He was violent at times. He pushed me so far academically, I became more confident for any girl my age. I grew up too quickly.
“Oxford was an amazing place but I was too young. By the time I was 15, I wanted to be in control of my life. I fought back,” she said.
“I hate this stereotype society has of escorts as being exploited. It is so far from the truth. My clients treat me like a princess. One guy took me shopping on Bond Street. He bought me a beautiful black Gucci dress for £300 (RM1,920) and then took me to Selfridges, where I could pick a handbag I liked.”
“I don’t believe my education had been wasted – in fact, I usually take problem sheets with me to solve before appointments,” she said.
“Now, I wonder if I could go back to a normal relationship, where you watch EastEnders and have boring sex. I’ve gotten used to being treated like a princess,” she said.
“I have never felt so confident about my body and I’ve had some of the best sex of my life,” she said.
Sufiah’s sex job shocks ex-husband

Monday, April 07, 2008
KUALA LUMPUR: Sufiah Yusof’s ex-husband Jonathan Marshall has expressed sadness and complete shock over the one-time child prodigy selling herself for £130 (RM829) per hour.
Britain's Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying: “I am completely shocked. It’s very sad, actually. It’s very shocking that someone can use himself or herself in such a way.”
“I can’t fathom why she would do it – especially someone in her situation. Despite the problems with her family she had many advantages, which other people don’t have,” he said.
“It’s a particular shock – her coming from a Muslim background. To see pictures of somebody doing that – somebody I knew very closely – it makes me think, how did she get to that stage. Quite frankly she knows well enough what she should and should not do.”
“Genius on the game,” a newspaper had announced on Sunday.
“For sad Sufiah the daily equation she has to solve is simply sex equals £130.”
Britain’s News of the World on Sunday went on to relate how Sufiah, admitted to Oxford University at the age of 13, had taken to hiring herself out over the Internet as a prostitute – or “Asian escort” as she termed it – at the rate of £130 per hour.
Estranged from her family, she had adopted the working name of Shilpa Lee and set up shop in a backstreet flat in Salford, Manchester.
Marshall went on to say: “My view is that people can blame childhood to a certain extent, but there also comes a point where you have to take responsibility for your own actions.
“She had her advantages: she had someone willing to support her while she was at university. One newspaper told me that it had offered a substantial amount for her story. Personally, I’d rather sell my story than sell myself.”
The two fell in love and married in 2004. Marshall, a law student, had already converted to Islam. He was 24 and she was 19. The marriage lasted less than two years.
“The reason we split was that I became more observant and Sufiah became less so,” The Daily Telegraph quoted Marshall as saying.
“That took her in the wrong direction, away from the direction in which I wanted to go. The teachings of Islam are fundamental to your everyday life, so when paths diverge in that respect it is a major issue.”
Marshall, speaking yesterday from Saudi Arabia where he works for a leading firm of City solicitors, told The Daily Telegraph that Sufiah was confused.
“She didn’t know quite what she wanted. She wasn’t ready to settle down. Basically, she wanted to be a student,” he said.
“She wasn’t particularly extrovert. She wasn’t a difficult person to live with. We simply had different goals, different ideas of where we wanted to be. There were, to my knowledge, no affairs or anything. I never considered such a thing, simply because of the religious basis of our marriage.”
He added that there was little contact between Sufiah and her family in her final year at Oxford, but some bridges were mended when family members attended the couple’s Islamic wedding ceremony.
He did not gain the impression during the marriage that Sufiah had been subjected to physical abuse by her father as a child. Psychological abuse was another matter.
Sufiah completed her course but failed to take her final exams, ostensibly because of her health.
When Marshall secured a job with one of the “magic circle” law firms, the couple moved to London and then, briefly, to Singapore.
It was there that they decided to split. On returning to London, Sufiah was admitted to London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies to read economics.
Despite their split in August 2005, Marshall supported her for eight months before taking up a job with his firm in Saudi Arabia. He has remarried and has two children.
“We agreed that I would assist her for a specific time,” Marshall, who has not been in contact with his former wife, told The Daily Telegraph.
“I felt a moral obligation to help her out while she was still at university. She wanted to concentrate on university and I agreed she should.
“I really do hope she manages to get her life back together. She was obviously very able, and it’s sad that she is not able to use that talent.”
The Daily Telegraph also reported that the expose was the final straw for Sufiah’s mother, Halimahton, a devout Muslim.
Yesterday, she left the family home in Coventry to arrange her divorce from her husband Farooq.
The couple’s marriage was already under intolerable strain following his guilty plea last week on charges of indecently assaulting two 15-year-old girls while working as a personal tutor.
Farooq, 50, was sentenced to 18 months’ jail.

Boss Mat Ros Lawan Balik (Cerita Polis Hero vs. Polis/ACA/AG Jahat)
Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Ramli Yusuff today confirmed that he was the police officer being investigated for amassing RM27 million in undeclared assets.
“Although the name of the officer was not disclosed, it is public knowledge that I was the officer referred to in these widely sensationalised news,” said Ramli in an explosive press statement today.
The media had earlier reported that an unnamed senior officer was being probed by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) for abuse of power and failure to declare assets.
The news reports also claimed that the officer had failed to declare his position as a director in a company and that he accumulated RM27 million worth of assets illegally.
It is understood that Ramli had been ordered to declare his assets, which he did on Sept 19 to the ACA deputy public prosecutor.
Ramli’s announcement was made at a hastily organised press conference today at the CCID headquarters in Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Perdana, where his office is located.
In a three-page statement, Ramli - a top ranking police officer - also made a number of allegations including that the police force had failed to stand by him and his officers during the ACA investigation.
“The officers of the CCID have been mistreated by the ACA and are yet to be protected by their own force,” he claimed.
Johari ordered ‘kingpin’s’ arrest
In his statement, Ramli described at length how his department nabbed an alleged underworld kingpin in Johor on the directive of Deputy Internal Security Minister Johari Baharom in March [see full statement].
He said Johari’s order came after a joint committee and a special task force were established last year at the cabinet level and the police to combat illegal money-lending and gambling activities.
“The investigations by CCID led to the eventual detention and banishment of the said Goh Cheng Poh @ Tengku to Jeli, Kelantan,” he said.
Goh’s detention and banishment was made in early August around the same time allegations emerged that Ramli was being probed by ACA for undeclared assets.
Ramli stressed that Goh’s detention was made under the orders of Johari based on intelligence gathered by the CCID.
“The merits of his banishment are a matter which is within the subjective purview and prerogative of the deputy internal security minister and, consequently, I am not at liberty to comment,” he added.
No help from AG’s Chambers
Subsequently, it was reported that ACA and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) - a separate section in the police force - had investigated and cleared Goh.
“This certainly did not include the subject matter of CCID’s investigations into Goh’s affairs as directed by the deputy internal security minister,” Ramli said.
Following this, Goh had applied to the High Court to set aside Johari’s banishment order.
In what Ramli described as an “unprecedented stance”, the Internal Security Ministry’s legal advisor - who is an officer of the Attorney-General’s Chambers - had declined to help the CCID to fight the case.
Instead, the legal advisor had ordered Ramli and his officers to prepare by themselves affidavits of the events surrounding their preparation of investigative papers on Goh.
“I was under advice at the time that the AG was under a duty to advise and assist us in the preparation of the said affidavits under Article 145 of the Federal Constitution and the Government Proceedings Act, 1956," he said.
Instead, Ramli said he had to seek legal advice from a private law firm to draft the affidavits.
ACA blew our cover
Following this, Ramli said ACA officer Sok One Esen had filed an affidavit in the proceedings brought by Goh, which confirmed that the ACA was investigating his department’s officers for allegedly abusing their powers.
Ramli said that Sok One was also present at the Hari Raya arrest of Rosli Dahlan, the lawyer who had helped the CCID to prepare its affidavits. Rosli was subsequently charged in court for failure to declare his assets after he was ordered to do so by ACA.
“Within the week, several officers of the CCID were arrested and charged in court for allegedly falsifying evidence concerning the banishment of Goh.
“In the charge sheets, the names of the confidential informants have been disclosed,” he lamented.
Ramli then dropped a bombshell regarding ACA’s dealings with the identities of police informants.
“The identities of the informants were obtained through the circumvention of the Inspector-General’s Standing Orders.
“Given these events, there exists a clear and present danger as to the intelligence gathering ability of the police force and its ability to protect its informants.”
Ramli ended his statement that he was going to Saudi Arabia to perform his ‘umrah’ (minor haj) on Saturday and he would leave the matter to be dealt with by the Internal Security Ministry.
“These are disturbing events and will undeniably have a deep impact, not only on the CCID but the police force as a whole."

Badan Kehakiman dirogol dan diliwat beramai-ramai
Ingat tak kes Tan Sri Eusoffe Abdul Cadir (1st Class Law Degree, bukan macam Gani Patail. Aku pun baguih sikit) dikatakan mati bunuh diri tembak kepala sendiri dengan pistol sebab tertekan akibat kematian isteri...yang ni aku tak percaya seduit pun. Semuanya ala Bourne Ultimatum punya cerita.
Panel "bebas" yang dilantik oleh Najib pun memang tak de harapan punya.
No.1, Panel ni di lantik tanpa ada asas perundangan yang jelas mengenai penubuhannya. This is wrong from the very beginning. Dah tau tak de power, this 3 stooges nak juga jadi glamor dan sebab $$$. Memang tak dak integriti langsung.
No.2, Si Haidar tu dah le Chairman/Makan Gaji dgn CIMB > CIMB Adik Najib atau Najib punya. Memang dah kantoi 1st round.
No.3 Masa Tun Salleh Abas kena pecat, Si Haidar ni tumpang sekaki jadi "pembelot" sewaktu beliau jadi Ketua Pendaftar Mahkamah. Bersekongkol dengan Tun Hamid Omar. Aruah bapak aku dulu beli buku Tun Salleh Abas. Pada masa tu Tun Salleh tak tahu cerita si haidar ni berkomplot. Nak tahu cerita bacalah. Aku sekupang pun tak respek kat mamat nih..Anwar Ibrahim masa tu pun senyap..cari makan punya pasai..(yang ni aku menyampah kat politician nih...tapi dia dah kena belasah dalam penjara..harap ambil ingatan)
No. 4, Sekarang ACA nak tangkap/dakwa Whistle blower plak (orang yang reveal video clip VK Linggam).
On another note, Kelmarin 2 orang polis yang jadi whistle blower on another case, turut kena dakwa dengan ACA..sekarang ketua gangster yang nak dibebaskan dah tahu sapa pecah rahsia.
Tak taulah apa nak jadi..dalam ACA, HAKIM, POLIS, MEDIA masing-masing ada geng jahat lawan geng baik. Habih pecah belah eg. Commercial Crime VS CID, ACA vs POLIS. macam-macam.
Raja Petra siang-siang dah cakap "Den of the thieves" (Sarang Penyamun).
This is not about pembangkang or penyokong kerajaan. This is about our political awareness as matured and concern citizen of Malaysia. Government is not sincere with us. Harapkan Paklah lebih baik dari Mahadey, nampaknya dia pun tak boleh. Yang ku cari Al-Ghazali, tapi yang ku jumpa Mawi..
